Infant Crisis Services gives away 250 packs of diapers every week.

Government programs don’t provide diapers, which makes us the only agency in central Oklahoma that provides diapers to needy babies and toddlers.

In families where diapers are a luxury, a baby can spend a day or longer in one diaper. Wearing a soiled diaper for extended periods has been linked to potential health and abuse risks.

Without transportation to access large retailers or discount stores, many are forced to buy diapers at inner city convenience stores which can double or triple the monthly cost for diapers.

So why not go cloth, you ask? Many people living in poverty do not have affordable access to washing facilities.

Furthermore, most coin-operated Laundromats do not allow customers to wash cloth diapers for health and sanitary reasons.
