Memorial and Honor Gifts - Make a gift in honor or memory of a loved one or in celebration of an anniversary or birth. Your contribution will be acknowledged with a card informing the family member of your generous gift, though the amount will remain confidential.
Building and Program Reserve Gifts – Give a gift that will save for the future while providing interest income to Infant Crisis Services. The funds will be placed in a restricted account that will be invested into a permanent reserve fund. You may designate building up-keep or future program expense.
Matching Gifts - Many corporations match employee gifts up to three times the original amount given. By providing Infant Crisis Services with the proper return forms, your gift can be greatly maximized by taking advantage of the corporate matching gift monies.
Securities and Gifts - Significant tax advantages are available when a donor contributes stocks, bonds or other types of securities. In many instances, this type of giving allows the donor to avoid paying capital gains tax. Gifts of appreciated securities or stock can be one of the most advantageous ways of giving. The donor receives a tax deduction for the market value on the date that the gift is given. The gift of real estate and personal property also can benefit the donor through a tax deduction and an avoidance of capital gains.
Wills and Bequests - By naming Infant Crisis Services in your will, you will also receive an estate tax deduction for the value of your bequest. With proper planning, you can also determine the use of the funds you are giving through your will.
Retirement Plan - Designate Infant Crisis Services as a beneficiary of the remainder of your IRA, tax-sheltered annuity or qualified pension-sharing plan.
Deferred Planned Gifts - Many of these methods can provide immediate tax benefits and guaranteed annual income to you or those you name. After the lifetime of the named beneficiary, Infant Crisis Services will then have ultimate use of the gift and carry out the provision set forth by the donor.
Life Insurance Gifts - Life Insurance Gifts of an old or new policy can provide an immediate tax deduction, as well as allow the donor to make a significant gift with little expenditure. To qualify, Infant Crisis Services becomes the owner and beneficiary of the policy. Premiums are paid to Infant Crisis Services by the donor, thus resulting in a charitable contribution. Or, the donor may choose to leave Infant Crisis Services as beneficiary of the policy.
In-Kind Gifts – Donations of formula, diapers, new clothing and baby items are always needed. Infant Crisis Services also relies on donations of gently used clothing, toys, books, stuffed animals and other baby items to help make client visits more comfortable. Please see the Wish List for a full list of our current needs.
