Albert Brown joined the Metropolitan Library System in 2010 and has worked in the Maintenance Department ever since. Those who work with Albert know he is always smiling and ready to lend a hand wherever and whenever! He is also a great believer in Infant Crisis Services and what they achieve in our community, and for good reason. It turns out that seven years ago he and his wife had premature twins. Sadly, they lost one of the twins, but the other, Ily, survived. Ily weighed 1 lb 14 oz. when she was born, and had special needs. The Browns were referred to Infant Crisis Services for help, and received formula, clothes, diapers, and many other items that helped them through that difficult time.
Last week, Albert brought by 14 coats that his four children had outgrown or didn't need any more to donate to Infant Crisis Services. He knows from experience what comfort those items can bring to a family facing an overwhelming situation. Thank you, Albert, and thank you to every single All Star Staff Volunteer for doing what you can to make a difference.
