Some of our Young Professionals Board Members and their friends spent their Saturday volunteering at Infant Crisis Services this weekend. But it wasn't all work and no play. This group of competitive young people challenged each other to a diaper pack-off in our warehouse.
They formed three teams and three assembly lines. Each team tried to assemble the greatest number of diaper packs in just 1 1/2 hours. They first had to separate the donated diapers into a one-week supply (which amounts to 36 diapers for a toddler), wrap them tightly, bag them, mark them, and box them.
All together, they went through two pallets of diapers for a total of 13,968!
The winning team packed 990 diapers per person. Thanks to all who participated! We truly couldn't do it without our volunteers. Here are some pictures from this very fun volunteer event.
