It has been in the works for about a month, but now we are excited to finally share the news: Infant Crisis Services is returning to Moore!
In the weeks following the tornado that hit the Cleveland County community, we operated a makeshift distribution site in the parking lot of Platt College. We were there for hours and days on end, not stopping for weekends or even holidays. We knew the need was there and we knew the need was BIG, so we stayed to help the tiniest victims of the tornado.
After the immediate need was met, and the families who were displaced found temporary housing, we packed up our parking lot relief site, and immediately started laying the groundwork to return in a more indefinite role. Officials at Platt College generously offered to let us use an office space in their building to aid the families of Moore during the long-term recovery process.
So that brings us to the present. Infant Crisis Services will open its third branch tomorrow, Wednesday, July 10, in Moore, Oklahoma. We hope to be able to help those families who are rebuilding their homes, providing for the needs of their babies and toddlers, while they piece back together their lives.
We would like to offer the biggest and sincerest thanks to our friends at Platt College for making this possible. We are happy to partner with Platt College as we continue to serve Moore and serve the babies and toddlers affected by the tornado.
