Long time no see! It’s been a while since we’ve posted on our blog, but we’re ready to hit the ground running again! There’s a new face behind our blog and I thought I’d introduce myself with my first post.
I’m Sarah, volunteer at Infant Crisis Services and writer of the lifestyle blog, Cunningham Love Story (cunninghamlovestory.com). I’ve been a volunteer at Infant Crisis Services for a little over two(ish) years. I say “ish” because I came here to do 25 volunteer hours for my Infancy class which was a requirement as part of my program at UCO. I loved it so much, I came back two semesters later to finish out my degree by doing my internship here --- receiving my bachelor’s degree in Family Life Education-Child Development back in May. And then yet again, I missed it so much, I came back this past November to volunteer weekly!
Infant Crisis Services has always had a special place in my heart. I love being a part of an organization that helps feed hungry babies. Last year, we fed and diapered 17,684 babies and toddlers! Think of all of those precious little faces that went to bed those nights with a full belly and a clean diaper. I also have loved seeing our BabyMobile program grow. The BabyMobile travels different places throughout the community to bring formula, food and diapers closer to you. To find out where the BabyMobile is going this month, check out the schedule here (infantcrisis.org/babymobile).
I’m so excited to be the new face behind the blog at Infant Crisis Services, and I hope to have you follow along!
For the babies,
