Volunteer Banquet 2011

Once a year we celebrate our wonderful volunteers -- even though we try to celebrate them every day!  Without them Infant Crisis Services would be -- well we probably wouldn't be here without them.  They are the backbone of our organization.  Thank you volunteers for what you do!  We love you!

I'd also like to know your answers to the oiflowlng. If you haven't volunteered before, what keeps you from volunteering? Is it fear? The notion that you don't have enough experience to contribute anything ? Unrealistic expectations? Do you think that, once you do one thing for your chapter, you'll be expected to always do something for your chapter? Is it situational shyness? I could go on and on, but you get the idea. Your elected officers have stood in your shoes. At one time, we've decided that, ok, it's not too scary to write a meeting review or suggest a meeting topic and the person to present it. Tell us just one thing that we can do to help you. We want to remove all obstacles between you and volunteering. You never know how much you can benefit from the experience until you try, right?

I am available prttey much all week except for Tuesday Evening, Thursday, and Friday night. I would love to help in Either Springfield, or Monson/Brimfield. I have a few friends that would come with me, which would make my group around 5 people. I have 2 Chainsaws, an SUV. I am a certified First Responder (basic First Aid, CPR), and I am a volunteer firefighter.PLEASE. If anyone knows anybody who needs trees cleared, roads that need clearing, anything of the sort let me know. I am young, and will work hard to get the big stuff that some people may not be able to clear away. You can reach my by calling or texting my cell phone (leave a message if no answer with your name and ##) 413-250-5994or through e-mail: I would be coming from Granville MA, on the other side of Westfield.
