Interview

If your application is approved, we will call you to schedule a phone interview and a tour.

Background Check

All volunteers must be able to pass a background check with a clear record. We also do not accept court appointed community service volunteers.

Orientation and Training

After all steps are complete, we will schedule your first day for orientation and training.

Client Intake Volunteer

Positions are one day per week, one shift with a minimum three-month commitment requested.

Monday– Friday either 9am-12pm or 1pm-4pm shift. Clear background checks are required for all positions. 

Are you interested in working directly with our clients?

This fun position works with the families we serve to ensure their babies and toddlers have the food, formula and diapers they need.

Excellent customer service is a must and knowledge of working with children under the age of 4 is extremely helpful. This position is standing and moving continuously. Repetitive lifting of up to 5 lbs of groceries can be expected.

Warehouse Assistant Volunteer

Do you prefer working behind the scenes?

Warehouse Assistant Volunteers stock our shelves with baby food and table food then assemble food packs for our little clients. Job duties include but are not limited to

  • Assembling diaper packs so that our little clients have fresh diapers for a week.
  • Assembling infant and toddler food packs to feed our little clients for the week.
  • Assembling BabyMobile food kits and stocking the BabyMobile as needed.

The work the Warehouse Assistant Volunteer completes allows Infant Crisis Services’ to continue to provide food, formula, and diapers to our clients. Ideally, all Warehouse Assistant Volunteers should be able stand and move continuously and lift up to 5 pounds of groceries.

Boutique/Hub Volunteers 

Are you an organizer?

The boutique is a key area at Infant Crisis Services. Caregivers shop in the boutique for their babies and toddlers. The Boutique Volunteer is responsible for keeping the storefront looking orderly and fully stocked. They take immense pride in keeping the storefront pristine. Tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining a clean and neat storefront for our clients and caregivers
  • Restocking clothing and basket items
  • Maintaining stock in the warehouse for basket items
  • Checking in and processing donations
  • Answering the donor door and assisting with accepting donations
  • Assisting with monthly and yearly inventory as needed
  • Use quality assurance procedures with donated items
